We believe that the whole Bible is the inspired Word of God and that it is “profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16,17).
The Bible has two parts, an old and a new testament. The Old Testament deals with the time before Jesus Christ. It expresses the relationship that God had with His chosen people Israel. The Old Testament has many things to say about how we have to live in this life, especially in relation to God and to other people. It also contains many prophecies about the Lord Jesus Christ.
The New Testament deals with the time from Jesus Christ’s birth through to the end of time. The New Testament describes the history of the early Christian Church, but also contains the doctrines about the Triune God, about sin, salvation, deliverance and much more.
In our church services the Bible translation that we use is the New King James Version.
